Kate Pittard is a singer and saxophonist [alto and baritone]. She brings an intuitive, contemporary approach to the classics that honors the masters yet remains experimental in nature. She takes risks with new sounds and ideas, forging an unconventional path and broadening the definition of jazz. A refreshing live performer, she connects with an audience throughher rhythmic, uniquely interpretive sound. Her sophistication goes well beyond her years. Regular performances throughout Northern California, including San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre, Top of the Mark and Hotel St. Francis, Berkeley’s Claremont Resort, the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Saratoga’s Historic Mountain Winery, and wineries in Napa and Sonoma County.
